This page details the locations and travel advice for the camps in the Colne Valley and Cubbington. Both of these camps are in areas where works by HS2 Ltd and/or their contractors are ongoing. We plan to update this page with information about the Great Missenden camp in the near future.
Leaflets with introductory information and maps for the Colne Valley and Cubbington camps have recently been published.
Accessibility information still needs to be collated and it is tricky to offer standardised accessibility information for outdoor environments, especially when some of this information can change as fast as the weather does, so we recommend that your reach to discuss your specific needs either on the Telegram group or with the camp contact listed here. Our activists have been very keen to provide information and/or make arrangements for people with accessibility needs who wish to visit or stay at a camp (the section writer here - StandAdmin - is disabled and is making this comment from personal experience) so please do reach out.
The Colne Valley has several camps in close proximity to each other: the Roadside camp, Woodland camp and Denham Country Park camp. Travel information is similar for all three. When you are planning to visit, we recommend you ask on the Telegram chat which site is in most need of your help at that particular time.
The best bus service for Harvil Road is the U9, but please check for any planned road closures (there have been several due to HS2) before relying on this. You can use this bus to travel from Uxbridge tube station (on a branch of the Metropolitan line) to the stop for Dogs Trust: press the stop button when you see the Roadside protest camp, which you will pass on your left. Please note the U9 only accepts Oyster or contactless debit/credit cards: cash is NOT accepted.
Denham (on the Chiltern line) is the nearest railway station and is (very roughly) a half-hour walk away. Lifts from nearby Denham station or other places nearby may be possible, so do ask about in the Telegram chat group if a lift would help you.
Car parking is possible but will not be very close to the camp. Further information about parking will be added soon, in the meantime please ask the Telegram chat group for parking suggestions. Please, please do NOT park at Dogs Trust: they have been wonderfully generous neighbors and need their parking kept free so people can visit them to adopt all the wonderful dogs they are trying to rehome.
Information about walking from nearby transport hubs will be added soon, please ask on the Telegram chat group in the meantime.
Further facilities information will be added soon, please ask on the Telegram chat group in the meantime.
Many campers have been visiting the Dogs Trust cafe to use toilets and charge devices/power banks and Dogs Trust have been very welcoming to us. Please keep the goodwill going by being considerate, making sure you ask politely before using any of their facilities, and by buying something or donate to them when visiting. Most campers leave their muddy wellies outside and walk indoors in just socks, please either do the same or bring a pair of clean, mud-free shoes with you to wear inside their building. Their cafe has at least one vegan food option, which campers have told us is delicious!
(Please note that the situation can change quickly, so we strongly advise you make contact with someone onsite for can guide you to exact current locations.)

There is one camp in Cubbington which is located near Welsh Road. This camp is very well-supported locally, is family-friendly and welcomes visitors for any length of time. Local people compromise the core campers and even some of the local police have wished the activists there well.
This section covers some travel advice from those coming from further afield on how to get to the nearest station to the camp. Please see the next section for local travel information.
Cheap travel from or via London is surprisingly possible. Cheap advance fares to Leamington Spa rail station from London have been available the night before.
There is also a cheap route using a NatEx coach from London (Megabus does not seem to have any nearby routes but the NatEx fare from London has been as low as £5.50). This route isn't the simplest but can be a good option if you need travel to be cheap and last minute because NatEx allows you to book online on the day of your coach (the £5.50 fare quoted above was a fare paid by someone who booked on the day of travel.)
The coach leaves from London Victoria. Exit the coach at Birmingham Coach Station, from there it is a 10-minute walk to Birmingham MOOR STREET rail station (make sure you use Moor Street as fares from other Birmingham stations are much higher than from Moor Street). An "anytime single" ticket without a railcard from Birmingham Moor Street to Leamington Spa is £7.70.
This section covers local travel information, see above for advice getting to the area from further afield. The nearest rail station is Leamington Spa.

The Great Missenden camp is near Link Road, Great Missenden (HP16 9QD). Camp anchor is Alan Woodward. Facebook page is #StoppingHS2 Chilterns. The camp is well supported locally. The site is not in an area where trees are currently threatened but acts a rapid response hub for the local area. Some basic information about Great Missenden and contact details to find out more can be found on the spreadsheet. We plan to update this page to include more detailed information on this camp in the future.
