Aquifer works are imminent at Harvil, drill in position to start today. The aquifer supplies 3.5 million peoples drinking water (22% of London’s  drinking water and much of Bucks). HS2 have applied to re route the water supply from the Blackford group of pumping stations near Harvil road, to Watford which is Thames Water. Affinity Water have protested on the basis that they won’t be able to guarantee the ongoing purity and safety of the water.

Support in any form is needed today, including people to legally observe and/or film the situation or simply bring along some food or drink for fellow activists who are locked on.

if you cannot attend today, please share this video far and wide and in particular please tweet it to news organisations and journalists as there is a story here that we might be able to get them to cover.

Please watch Erin Brockovich on Netflix asap if you haven’t already. It highlights serious issues with a certain water supply that we are about to experience in 22% of Londons water supply. A recent Freedom of Information request by Sarah Green has exposed that Chromium 6 is apparent in pile drives into our aquifers which they have began just this month. Code Red Alert and media silence. Watch the film!!

Cofferdams in the lakes are showing it already from the concrete plugs already in, legal limit is in the uk 0.05 in drinking water approx in Europe 0.02 America 1. In this lake with cofferdams it’s 45!!!!! We need help.

Info on the dangers:

HS2 are not using Cr(VI) they have been surprised to find such high levels across so many of their sites. They think it is being generated as concrete is drying. The levels in the cofferdams were from the concrete plugs curing. The whole of the Colne Valley Viaduct is across drinking water protected zones. Next HS2 step is the giant concrete pour into 300 deep holes in the aquifer for the Viaduct foundations. This has potential to poison thousands of peoples water.
